Your business needs an effective presence on Facebook to succeed. You want to build your community and establish your credibility; just remember your Facebook page isn’t only about how many likes you have. It’s about how engaged your followers are and how many of them become your customers. For that, you need to attract the right kind of audience and engage them in a manner consistent with your business objectives.

Here are five Facebook hacks to help you get more likes for your business page.

HACK #1 Optimize your Facebook page information.

When people read information in your About section, they should know right away what your business is about and what your mission is. Make your business objectives clear and concise to your readers. Select the categories and subcategories that best describe your company; include your website URL; list your address, phone number and hours of operation (if applicable); and upload photos and videos. All this information will help your page appear in Facebook and on Google search results for people looking for companies similar to yours.

HACK #2 Post engaging content.

Offering high quality content is very important. In order to be ranked on Facebook, you need to post engaging, entertaining and interesting content on your business page. Facebook will reward you by letting your engaged users’ friends know about you in their newsfeeds.

HACK #3 Cross-promote.

Periodically cross-promote your Facebook content on your other social media accounts. While it’s not wise to post the same content on every platform you use every time, occasionally letting your Instagram or Twitter audience (or whatever social media you are using) know that there’s a new awesome post waiting for them on Facebook might get you more likes. Also, don’t forget to invite your audience to like your page through other social media platforms.

HACK #4 Customize your audience.

Facebook offers many ways to customize your audience by location, interests, pages they follow and other criteria. Take some time to research who your followers are to target your content. The more customized content you offer, the more likely you’ll get convertible followers.

HACK #5 Use tools and platforms for analysis.

Automated tools, services and platforms allow you to improve your Facebook performance through valuable insights and monitoring of your Facebook content strategy. Install a Facebook pixel on your website to allow Facebook to bring people who visit your site to your Facebook page.

Finding the best audience to engage with is not an easy task and requires effort and commitment. When you devote your time to creating high quality content, customized for the right audience and use analytics and social media content boosting tools and platforms, you’ll see your audience substantially grow over time.
