Certified news media interview training for company executives and experts

Spokespersons are the face of your organization; they have a tremendous impact on company sales and credibility. Speaking to news media requires professional training.

Someone using the MediaMaster service.

Axia's MediaMaster program teaches your company's executive and expert spokespeople how to deliver successful media interviews and control the story. MediaMaster training is a must for newly hired and recently promoted company executives to teach them how to respond in a cool, calm, and confident manner.

We’ll educate your company's executives and experts on how newsrooms work, their roles and responsibilities, and tips on how to come across as friendly, open, and positive. In addition to message delivery, we’ll cover nonverbal communication. After just one training session, your spokespeople can put it together, sounding and looking like real pros.

Axia offers initial training in less than one hour for urgent needs and more frequently in one or two half-day and full-day sessions. For those who have completed it, Axia offers advance and brush-up sessions on a quarterly, annually, and as-needed basis.

We recommend scheduling MediaMaster training sessions for CEOs, executives, subject-matter experts, and spokespeople. You may train one-on-one, individually, in pairs, in small groups, or with a large group, which can be an excellent team-building exercise.

Some companies whose executives have completed our media spokesperson training include FIS, the world’s largest fintech company; Adecco Group, the world’s largest professional staffing firm; Continental, one of the world’s largest automotive companies; and more.

How our training works
Our public relations firm provides slides, video examples of best and worst practices, real-life interview scenarios, and a thorough review into how the media works and what to expect when doing a news interview. We can complete these sessions live and in-person and/or by Zoom. Upon request, our public relations agency travels with LED studio lights and video equipment for in-person training to conduct live test interviews. Then, we replay the videos to share specific tips and real-time coaching.

Each attendee receives:
• an interactive workbook to take notes on during the live training

• the workbook to review and reference immediately before future interviews
• a certified media spokesperson certificate and icon to add to their bio

Follow-up training sharpens your skills.

After the initial training, Axia recommends you keep your skills sharp by attending quarterly or annual MediaMaster sessions. In addition to brushing up on basics, the program covers more advanced topics.
