A PR firm with a conflict referred Estrella Engineering, a mechanical engineering firm, to Axia Public Relations for help in increasing its revenue. Axia developed a targeted direct-response program throughout the southeast United States to reach the top prospective clients. By positioning the professionals at Estrella as “subject-matter experts,” Axia earned media coverage in industry and target geographic news outlets, including a half-page, full-color profile of Larry Estrella in The Florida Times-Union, the prominent daily newspaper serving its target geographic market, and other business and industry news stories detailing the firm’s projects.

 

The business challenge

After a decade and a half of respectable performance, Estrella Engineering wanted to dramatically increase its revenue. To get started, Axia Public Relations conducted primary research among current and past clients, vendors, and competitors. A targeted direct-response program and PR campaign was used throughout Northeast Florida and southeastern parts of the U.S. Estrella’s website was also enhanced to match the new campaign. Further, by positioning the professionals at Estrella as “subject-matter experts,” Axia earned media coverage, including a half-page, four-color profile of Larry Estrella in The Florida Times-Union.

 

The results

As a result of these efforts, Estrella Engineering has:

  • Increased revenue and exposure
  • Obtained meetings with more than half of the 10 companies on the “dream list” to identify project partnerships and bid opportunities

 

Many years later, the firm still benefits from and attributes its current growth to its 18-month investment in this PR campaign.
