4 tips for B2B social media growth

By Julie Miller

  1. Embrace social media.

Gone are the days when you could let anyone who volunteered handle your social media accounts. Your company needs to dedicate time and resources for creating social media content and managing engagement. For social media success, you have to embrace the platform, and that means having the resources and personnel to do it right.

  1. Have a content strategy.

Don’t just post occasionally when you have news to share. To have a continuous impact on social media, you must be consistently posting content. And not just any content; you need quality content that is informative and/or entertaining in order to engage your target audience. Effective content plans provide value to readers.

  1. Tap into your company influencers.

As a B2B marketer, you should incorporate LinkedIn into your social media strategy. In addition to posting content from your company page, you can extend your reach and provide authentic connections by empowering company personnel – particularly the sales team – to use LinkedIn to broaden your company’s influence.

  1. Use remarketing.

Using remarketing strategies for B2B marketing is an excellent way to move sales prospects further down the funnel. Remarketing helps keep your products or services top of mind among prospects and provides opportunities to serve up new content and calls to action as your prospects move through the funnel. Earlier this year, LinkedIn added remarketing into its advertising platform, empowering B2B marketers like never before.
